Supporting Screw-Titanium Mesh System Installation

Step 1:
Incise the periodontal flap.
Step 2:
Measure bone defects using the measuring device:
1. Measure the width of the missing tooth.
2. Measure the width of the buccal defect.
3. Measure the height of the buccal defect on the alveolar ridge.
Step 3:
Choose the appropriate support screw and implant it into the surgical area, ensuring at least 2/3 of the threads are embedded in the bone, with the remaining height as required for bone grafting.
Step 4:
Select the correct size of titanium mesh.
Step 5:
Fill with sufficient bone powder, place the titanium mesh, and align its holes with the protrusions of the support screw.
Step 6:
Fix the titanium mesh with a healing abutment. Choose either a healing abutment or a cover screw based on whether it’s a first-stage or second-stage surgery.
Step 7:
Cut a collagen membrane to the appropriate size and cover the surgical area to guide bone regeneration, then suture the incision. The healing period is typically 3-6 months, depending on the extent of the bone defects.
Step 8:
Incise the flap and remove the healing abutment/cover screw, support screw, and titanium mesh.
Step 9:
Place the appropriate implant, screw in the healing abutment with a screwdriver to form a cuff, and suture the incision.
